Key Responsibilities
Operational Assurance & Compliance
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of LNG operations assurance frameworks, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct audits and assessments of LNG facilities, marine operations, and associated contractors to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
- Track corrective actions from audits, incidents, and performance reviews; verify closure and alignment with corporate standards.
- Ensure compliance with maritime safety standards, terminal codes, LNG handling procedures, and applicable regulatory bodies (e.g., USCG, IMO, ISO).
Risk Management & Performance Monitoring
- Identify operational risks across LNG production, shipping, storage, and regasification processes.
- Analyze incident reports, near-misses, operational deviations, and equipment failures to identify root causes and systemic risks.
- Maintain dashboards for key risk indicators (KRIs), operational KPIs, and assurance metrics.
- Support scenario analysis, operational risk scoring, and risk mitigation planning.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements to LNG operational processes, procedures, and workflows.
- Support implementation of best practices related to cargo handling, berth operations, BOG management, and marine operations.
- Participate in lessons-learned reviews, performance benchmarking, and cross-site knowledge sharing.
- Assist in evaluating technology and systems that enhance operational reliability and safety.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with LNG operations, marine, commercial, technical, and HSE teams to ensure integrated planning and safe execution of LNG movements.
- Prepare assurance reports, presentations, and summaries for senior operations leadership.
- Serve as an internal point of contact for assurance-related inquiries, documentation, and compliance evidence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, Operations Management, Safety Engineering, or related field.
- 2–6+ years of experience in LNG operations, energy operations assurance, or industrial risk & safety.
- Strong understanding of LNG supply chain operations—liquefaction, storage, vessel operations, loading/unloading, BOG systems, and terminal interface.
- Familiarity with operational risk frameworks, compliance assurance, and process safety management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret incident data, operational KPIs, and audit results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Experience with assurance management tools or operational reporting platforms (Power BI, SAP, Enablon, Intelex, etc.) is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of LNG Operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (TapRooT, 5-Why, Bowtie).
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards (ISO 16901, SIGGTO guidelines, OCIMF, ISGOTT).
- Background in reliability engineering, process safety, or quality management is an advantage.
