Objectives

  • Treat every customer as a potential lifetime purchaser; communicating a professional image that embraces honesty and concern for customer wants and needs.
  • Fix customer's vehicles right the first visit.
  • Point out any maintenance or repairs needed to the vehicle you are working on to the appropriate personnel.
  • Produce the highest quality of work which in turn will help increase our customer base.
  • Work efficiently in order to process as many repairs as possible each day.
  • Always be ready and willing to explain repairs to our customers, keeping in mind it is everyone's objective to have the customer return and recommend us to others.

Skill Required

  • Knowledge of automotive systems and ability to explain systems and repairs to others

  • Ability to diagnose vehicle problems other than those on the work order or described by the customer
  • Ability to estimate time of service or repair job for the purposes of efficient scheduling
  • Knowledge of parts requirements to complete a job, and ability to communicate parts requirements via repair orders
  • Ability to maintain communication with Service Consultant and Parts Department
  • Knowledge of approved and established procedures for conducting service and repairs
  • Ability to stay current through technical training schools, shop manuals, technical bulletins, etc.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with quality control and inspection requirements in Service
  • Department
  • Ability to record on repair orders the cause and correction of a repair
  • Ability to clock-on and clock-off when working on a repair
