Reporting to the Controller, the Seasonal Yard & Technician is responsible for warehouse transfers, pulling customer orders from stock and delivering hot tubs, pool kits and other required deliveries. Ensuring a positive customer experience is an essential element of the job and this individual will ensure the accuracy and completeness of customer orders and the timeliness of deliveries. All paperwork must be fully and properly completed to the satisfaction of the customer and Company, and every customer contact must demonstrate a high degree of courtesy and professionalism.
The Seasonal Yard & Delivery Technician will assist as required in maintaining the warehouse and all Company property in a neat, clean and organized condition. Additionally, the Seasonal Yard & Technician will provide assistance and support to the retail and service departments as needed. This individual must be aware of any potential hazards on every project and act accordingly. Hazards are to be assessed, controlled or eliminated and reported to customers, co-workers and management.
Principal Responsibilities
- Pulls required inventory, loads vehicle and delivers hot tubs, pool kits and other scheduled deliveries
- Responsible for warehouse transfers
- Maintains an accurate and up-to-date record of the Company's tool inventories located in the warehouse, service vehicles or elsewhere on Company property
- Maintains the physical tool inventory located in the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion
- Maintains basic maintenance and cleaning of service vehicles
- Keeps tow motor maintenance and inspection reports
- Initiates basic maintenance and cleaning procedures as may be required from time to time, anywhere on Company property
- Assists the retail staff in receiving and off-loading transport deliveries
- Assists retail staff in filling and maintaining chlorine containers, and reporting any issues, hazards or concerns with the filling stations
- Ensures timely and accurate tracking and record keeping of all pulled inventory and delivered goods
- Submits paperwork in a timely manner to specified locations or recipients
- Ensures all paperwork (e.g. job sheets, pool pulls, delivery sheets, daily log sheets and packing slips) is complete, neat and properly organized
- Ensures that all refuse is properly designated for landfill disposal or recycling; deliveries scrap and cardboard recycling to the designated facilities
- Responsible for professional and polite conduct while operating a company vehicle or performing on a job-site.
Job Requirements:
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional comportment
- Must be available for after-hours training as may be required from time to time
- Must be team oriented but able to initiate timely and correct actions and work independently
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and extra shifts as may be required from time to time
- Must have been licensed to operate a motor vehicle for at least two years and currently hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Must adhere fully to all Company policies, procedures and operational standards and guidelines
- Must be able to perform physical labour, including heavy lifting
- Must be able to recognize potential job related hazards as may occur from time to time, and responsibly communicate the issue to customers, co-workers and management, together with remedies to control or minimize the risk or eliminate the hazard
- Must operate Company vehicles in a safe, courteous and responsible manner
- Must be bondable with good references
