We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team and support day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced but supportive environment.

The Role

As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This position goes beyond data entry—you'll work with real transaction volume tied to physical operations and long-term customer relationships.

You'll collaborate closely with operations, billing, dispatch, and management, and your work will directly support decision-making across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Invoice entry, verification, and reconciliation
  • Assit with accounty reconciliations and posting journal entries; investigate and resolve routine reconciliation issues
  • Preparing customer statements and assisting with collections follow-ups
  • Help with month-end and year-end processes, including preparing journal entires and compliing supporting documents
  • Bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end close activities
  • Maintaining organized and accurate accounting records
  • Assisting with audits, reporting, and ad-hoc accounting tasks as required

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting fundamentals
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Excel (filters, basic formulas, reconciliations)
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems (industry experience an asset)
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
  • Professional, reliable, and discreet with confidential information

Nice to Have (but not required)

  • Experience in fuel, transportation, logistics, or distribution industries
  • Exposure to high-volume transactional environments
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business
