As part of our expansion and to optimize our operations, we are looking for a Supervisor/Truck Driver to join our team in Regina.

Location: Edmonton

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Flexibility schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30AM to 4:00PM

Compensation: Starting 60 000$CAD/year.

Responsibilities

Logistics Operations Management:

  • Coordinate and oversee transportation activities to ensure the proper execution of deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure optimal workflow.
  • Manage trailers and equipment using tracking tools and reports.
  • Actively participate in warehouse operational tasks, including:

  • Unloading and loading trucks.

  • Sorting parcels according to delivery routes.
  • Balance the volume of routes before departure to ensure delivery feasibility.

Supervision and Support of Drivers:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of transportation activities and address drivers' needs.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between drivers and management.
  • Guide and motivate the team to ensure high-quality service.
  • Ensure strict monitoring of refrigerated vehicle temperatures and take corrective actions quickly when necessary.
  • Verify delivery proof compliance and ensure proper use of tracking tools (scanners, reports, etc.).

Driving and Deliveries:

  • Hold a class 5 driver's license to make deliveries if necessary.
  • Drive a 26-foot truck with refrigeration and liftgate to handle transportation.
  • Follow a predetermined delivery route, with the ability to adapt according to company priorities.

Communication and Administrative Management:

  • Manage communications between drivers and the warehouse to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Respond to emails and administrative requests promptly.
  • Ensure daily monitoring of operational compliance and performance reports.

Qualifications

Mandatory 3 years of experience driving Class 5 trucks and delivering packages.

Experience in team supervision and logistics operations management (major asset).

Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Proficiency in computer tools: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Oral and written communication skills in english/french (french is an asset).

Good knowledge of the Edmonton region.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Initiative and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth and efficient deliveries.

Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.

Must be 25 years or older for insurance reasons.
