Duties
- Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, RGNs, Double Drops With Ramps, tankers, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles to deliver freight across multiple destinations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods.
- Navigate assigned routes with precision, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations while optimizing delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and inspection reports in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times, address issues, and provide exceptional service.
- Assist with special freight handling tasks such as operating specialized equipment for RGN's or Flatbed cargo when necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols related to driving, load securing, and vehicle operation to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route management responsibilities.
- Must Have USA visa.
- And must have 3 years of verifiable flatbed Experience.
- 3 years Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g. flatbed).
- Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with confidence and precision.
- Knowledge of different truck configurations such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, RGN's and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual techniques; familiarity with freight handling procedures.
- Strong understanding of route planning and driving regulations for commercial vehicles across diverse terrains.
- Experience with load securement techniques specific to various cargo types for safe transportation.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks independently.
