Responsibilities & Expectations:  We are looking for a skilled Switchgear or Transformer Field Service Specialist for our Canada Field Service Division.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain low, medium, and high voltage electrical power distribution equipment.
  • Partner with sales team to draft quote proposals for future work.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team and to customers.
  • Draft and finalize inspection and maintenance reports for customers in conjunction with other technicians.
  • Develop new customer interest by partnering up with sales team for onsite calls.
  • Support existing customer base by providing World Class service.
  Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Minimum of 5 years of low, medium, and high voltage switchgear testing, repair, and quoting.
  • 2+ years' experience working with low and medium voltage pad mount transformers – testing, oil sampling, and component change out preferred.
  • 3 years' experience working with protection relays.
  • NETA certification preferred.
  • Electrical journeyperson or Certified Engineering Technologist required at minimum.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work overtime when needed.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home as customers require.
  • Valid driver's license throughout employment.
