Job Description
Summary

Perform a variety of routine and complex tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and calibration of therapeutic, diagnostic, or life-support biomedical instruments.

This position oversees daily operations, collaborates with clients, supports colleague development, and acts as a communication link between hospital leadership and Christie Innomed's head office. The role also involves hands-on biomedical service activities and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply technical knowledge to supervise on-site operations.
  • Perform daily repairs and scheduled maintenance.
  • Mentor and guide support technicians as needed.
  • Communicate with clients and keep the Regional Manager informed.
  • Manage service operations, contracts, and supply inventory.
  • Identify and resolve technical or procedural issues.
  • Prioritize open work orders and document preventive maintenance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Contribute to financial performance through efficient service delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • College diploma in Biomedical Engineering required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital clinical engineering department, with exposure to leadership responsibilities.
  • Technical experience in maintaining ventilators and anesthesia systems.
  • Ability to travel regularly for up to two weeks at a time. Must hold a valid driver's license, passport, and any other required travel documents.
  • Technical certifications (A+, CBET, CRES, CLES, CCE) considered an asset.
  • Ability to obtain ICC Biomedical Equipment Technician certification required.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits, troubleshooting, and biomedical schematics.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
