Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Steward to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within our food service or hospitality environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, supporting the overall efficiency and guest experience by ensuring all kitchen and dining areas are hygienic, well-stocked, and properly maintained. Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not required. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen, dining, and service areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Support cooking and food service activities to ensure smooth operations during meal times
- Restock supplies such as utensils, dishes, linens, and cleaning materials to maintain readiness for service
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspaces throughout shifts
- Support hotel or restaurant staff with additional duties as needed to enhance guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food handling, restaurant service, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards in food service environments
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards guest service and colleagues
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting or bending as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $30.88 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
Work Location: In person
