We are currently seeking a dedicated Truck and Transport Journeyman Mechanic to join our Coquitlam team. This position will be responsible for all aspects of inspecting, servicing and repairing Clark Freightways' fleet of equipment.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate in the repair and maintenance of Company fleet equipment.
  • Ensure internal maintenance documentation is fully and accurately completed within the prescribed timelines.
  • Assess equipment and make recommendations to Shop Foreman regarding repair advice when required.
  • Aid in identifying possible warranty repair issues.
  • Assist the Shop Foreman with repair estimates, equipment specs and assessments as needed.
  • Be accountable for the instruction, guidance and safety of all apprentices.
  • Participate in special projects assigned by Shop Foreman.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized work environment & ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.

Who You Are:

  • A qualified Red Seal Journeyman Truck & Transport Ticket (preferred)
  • A holder of a valid BC driver's license
  • A holder of a valid Commercial Vehicle Inspector (preferred)
  • A professional with solid understanding and working knowledge of major truck, trailer and material components
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing and verbal)
  • Able to read technical diagrams and instructions
  • Highly compliant with safety requirements and demonstrating a responsible work attitude
  • Skilled in critical thinking, job task planning, and organization
  • Effective in solving problems and making clear, practical decisions.
