The Journeyman Mechanic performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate will bring technical ability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to keeping equipment in top operating condition to ensure minimal downtime.
_*Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers
* Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections in compliance with regulations
* Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
* Ensure all repairs meet company and industry standards for safety and quality
* Work collaboratively with shop supervisor, dispatch, and corporate operations to minimize downtime
* Red Seal Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Commercial Transport Mechanic certification (required)
* Minimum 1 year of experience working with heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
* Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
* Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 with Air Brake Endorsement considered an
asset)
