Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the freight.

Duties

  • Operate a variety of trucks including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and flatbeds.
  • Drive long distances to deliver goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual methods as required.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
  • Follow designated routes while being flexible to adjust as necessary based on traffic or weather conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
  • Ensure the proper handling of refrigerated cargo to maintain temperature requirements.

Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
  • Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with various types of freight handling including refrigerated trailers, flatbed loads, and tankers.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely.
  • Strong understanding of route driving principles and logistics management.
  • Excellent time management skills with a commitment to punctuality.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as needed during loading and unloading processes.
