Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, including seniors and those with disabilities. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of supportive tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping.
  • Assist individuals with mobility challenges through safe lifting techniques and equipment use.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement.
  • Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing regular housekeeping tasks.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients.

Experience

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care settings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with hospice care practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Experience in dementia care or home care services is beneficial.
  • Strong caregiving skills including heavy lifting capabilities when assisting clients.
  • Knowledge of basic nursing principles and practices is an advantage.
