Our Mission
Lumenix is a leading provider of hardware, software, sensors and artificial intelligence currently serving and trusted by thousands of clients across healthcare, commercial, residential, industrial and retail sectors in North America. Lumenix is committed to its vision of providing continuous value creation and enhanced safety for its partners and clients through the application of proprietary ambient agentic artificial intelligence, robotics engineering, interconnectivity and clean technologies. Our success is rooted in experienced leadership, proven problem-solving capabilities and the ability to steward and foster fair and effective networks of self-belief, know-how and capabilities within our Lumenix family.
Our people are at the center of our value proposition as together we provide sophisticated solutions to some of the most important problems facing our clients. From our innovative cleantech platform to our Artificially Intelligent Monitoring System ("AIMS"), we bring the best of ourselves to our clients as we fulfill our quest to apply world leading enterprise solutions and our proprietary AI technologies to enhance the quality of life of our community partners. Lumenix is working to extend its platform internationally to export our solutions more broadly within both the developed and developing world.
Our Culture
Lumenix is dedicated to creating a workplace that values and respects people from diverse backgrounds and fostering a culture that enables collaboration. Our Lumenix family is comprised of team members with a unique combination of talents, experiences, and perspectives. We are proud to develop and nurture emerging leaders as they progress through their careers. Our team members bring a global perspective to every interaction to offer the right solutions for our partners.
Our History
Started in 2012, we built a national platform leveraging lighting, software and hardware sensors to solve clean tech and prop tech solutions. Acquiring the AIMS technology in 2020, Lumenix has developed the world's only ambient agentic AI platform designed specifically for clinical use. Using a network of ceiling-embedded devices and infrared-based 3D sensors, the system anonymously perceives human behaviour and positioning, while remaining incapable of recognizing any personal information. AIMS delivers real-time, actionable intelligence that allows healthcare teams to proactively prevent adverse events, improve health outcomes, and support staff.
You
You want to work for a highly capable entrepreneurial company that is working to solve some of the most significant problems facing our world today. You are driven, view work as more than just a job, and are never satisfied with a project left half-done. You want to be surrounded by people like you; creative, fun-loving, and passionate about their work. You are motivated by making an impact on your team and workplace and you thrive on challenging and rewarding problems.
Role Summary:
Lumenix is seeking a Bilingual Training Specialist to support the successful implementation of its AIMS Platform at the Montreal General Hospital by delivering engaging training, education and support to a diverse range of hospital staff—including frontline and non-clinical teams, patients and families, hospital administrators and management.
This role focuses on enabling hospital staff to confidently and effectively use AIMS within a live clinical environment. It is a clinical enablement role, serving as the bridge between cutting-edge technology and the care teams who rely on it. The Bilingual Training Specialist will be responsible for helping staff understand not only how AIMS works, but also why it matters for patient and staff safety, clinical workflows, and day-to-day practice. No technical background is required – training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a visible, on-site ambassador and training specialist for Lumenix's AIMS Platform
- Engage with nursing staff, housekeeping, catering, and other frontline or non-clinical teams as well as patients and families
- Answer general questions about what AIMS is, what it does, and what it does not do
- Gain proficiency in current workflows for the roles being trained, including clinical, ancillary and support functions
- Develop, update, and maintain training plan, materials and supporting documentation
- Facilitate live demonstrations of the AIMS technology; deliver engaging, structured, in-person training sessions on system functionality, alerts, communications, and clinical use cases, tailored to staff roles and experience levels
- Prepare, set up, and facilitate on-unit training sessions across departments and shifts
- Help address and alleviate privacy or monitoring concerns through clear, friendly explanation
- Support end users through effective facilitation, troubleshooting, and real-time guidance during implementation
- Monitor and report on training milestones and adoption progress throughout the initial implementation period; provide recommendations to refine or scale the training approach as needed
- Provide consistent, human-centered communication that builds trust and familiarity
- Collect and respond to trainee questions and feedback during and after training sessions; follow up on outstanding issues and continuously adapt training approaches based on user input, clinical workflows, and implementation learnings
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and coaching
- Strong resilience and ability to perform effectively under pressure in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with comfort speaking to large audiences both virtually and in-person
- Calm, respectful, and empathetic demeanor with ability to work independently while on site
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously
- Proven ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- A collaborative, results-oriented team player with a strong track record of meeting deadlines
- Strong ability to build trust, credibility, and cooperation across diverse teams and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education
- Experience in healthcare and/or the public sector preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Background in healthcare, science, education, or technology (e.g. Adult Education, Instructional Design, or equivalent business or clinical experience, e.g., Nurse, Nurse Educator)
- Clinical or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
Why This Role Matters
The Training Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that hospital staff, patients, and families feel informed, respected, and comfortable. This position is not sales and not technical support—it is about human presence, clarity, and trust and delivering a 'wow' experience for customers.
