Job Summary

Building Store Inc. is seeking a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor / Operations Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations across multiple locations. This role combines operational leadership, inventory control, staff supervision, and financial accountability to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations across all locations
  • Plan and assign daily workloads and priorities in coordination with management
  • Oversee receiving, storage, shelf replenishment, picking, staging, and dispatch
  • Ensure daily review and replenishment of warehouse and sales shelves
  • Coordinate inventory transfers between locations and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Conduct and supervise inventory counts, cycle counts, and loss prevention
  • Handle customer product returns, verifying condition and expiration status
  • Monitor deliveries, investigate order discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee cash orders, daily cash reconciliation, and delivery of funds to management
  • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue balances, and escalate issues
  • Ensure all documentation and system entries are completed accurately and on time
  • Enforce OHSA and WSIB safety standards and safe material handling practices
  • Train, supervise, and support warehouse and support staff
  • Act as the escalation point for urgent or complex operational issues

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse supervision or operations leadership
  • Strong organizational, inventory, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with inventory systems and operational reporting
  • Ability to supervise staff and enforce safety and operational standards
  • Comfortable handling cash controls, documentation, and customer interaction
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends if required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate.
  • Cell phone and gasoline expenses are reimbursed for business use up to $50 and $200 respectively, upon submission of receipts.
  • Overtime paid in accordance with Ontario employment standards
  • Vacation (2 weeks), public holiday
