This role involves leading the video production for a high-quality online course designed for startup entrepreneurs. The project centers on filming approximately six hours of Masterclass-style instructional content, along with six short teaser videos. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire production process, from on-site filming in Toronto to post-production editing, ensuring a polished and engaging final product. You will collaborate closely with instructors and may coordinate with or bring in additional freelance specialists as needed. The finished course will be distributed to entrepreneurs across Canada, making a significant impact in the startup community.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the filming of six hours of instructional course content and six teaser videos
  • Collaborate with instructors to capture engaging, high-quality footage
  • Manage all aspects of on-site video production in Toronto, including lighting, sound, and set preparation
  • Oversee post-production editing to deliver a professional, cohesive final product
  • Coordinate with or recruit additional freelance crew members if required
  • Ensure all deliverables meet the vision and standards set for the course
  • Adhere to project timelines and communicate progress to stakeholders

Skills And Requirements

  • Proven experience in videography, especially for educational or instructional content
  • Strong video editing skills with proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
  • Ability to manage all aspects of video production, from pre-production planning to post-production editing
  • Experience working on-site and managing small production teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Creative eye for visual storytelling and attention to detail
  • Must be available to work on site in Toronto, Ontario for the duration of the project
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
