At Kingston Destination Group we're looking for candidates interested in joining a fast-paced, service-focused team in one of Ontario's most unique and rewarding work environments. Season: The Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises operating season begins in late April, and ends in late October.
Qualifications:
- Transport Canada 4th class engineering certificate in good standing or SVMO in good standing
- G driver's license.
- Positive attitude and approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English.
- Heavy lifting and other demanding physical work is occasionally required.
- Proven marine experience in project management, including drydocking, troubleshooting, and equipment repair/maintenance
- Report to Senior Master
- Service and repair vessels, engines, and systems.
- Maintain gangways, and all shore support equipment.
- Organize and participate in servicing vessels including fueling, sewage, freshwater, bilge pumping.
- Participate in a key role in fit out and layup of all vessels systems, engines.
- Organize and participate in annual dry-docking of vessels in compliance of Transport Canada regulations.
- Ensure all engine rooms meet minimum standards of Transport Canada regulations.
- Document repairs and maintenance.
- Assist in preparation for Transport Canada annual inspection.
