Working with one of our top financial clients, this position calls for a Sr Core Java Developer who can translate business needs into technical requirements, write robust and efficient code, mentor junior developers, and ensure strong development standards are consistently upheld.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QE Leads, and BSAs to understand business requirements and translate them into clear technical requirements.
  • Plan, design, and document comprehensive technical specifications to guide development work.
  • Design, develop, and configure applications to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Write scalable, testable, and efficient code while setting strong coding standards for the team.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and support their professional development.
  • Enforce software quality standards through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business objectives and deliver high-impact applications.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry practices to drive innovation within the team.

Must-Have Skills

  • 8+ years of Java Fullstack development experience
  • 5+ years of Java and RESTful API software development
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-mentorship abilities

Nice-to-Have

  • 3+ years of software development experience within banking
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
