Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our team as a Service Technician, Vehicle Fire Suppression systems in Thunder Bay, Ontario.Main ResponsibilitiesYour role will include diverse maintenance and repair activities including: Inspecting, repairing, and providing maintenance of vehicle fire suppression systems and other types of Fire & Life Safety Equipment at various customer sites Conducting life safety inspections and audits, with value-add suggestions for follow-up and maintenance  Performing site-specific training for owners and end users  Occasional overnight / extended travel to customer sites Being the Face of Levitt-Safety for our customers and their onsite safety needs What we offer: Monday to Friday, salaried position with paid vacation and other time away from work benefits Competitive pay in line with your experience and qualifications, plus paid training/certification, and potential for on-call premiums Medical, dental, vision, EAP, RRSP matching, and other group health insurance benefits for you and your family Annual bonus and profit-sharing opportunity Company-provided service vehicle and tools All expenses paid for out-of-town business travel, when required Qualifications: Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent hands-on role with vehicles or other motorized equipment Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude with experience working with power and hand tools Previous experience working with fire suppression systems is a strong asset Comfortable working in underground mining operations A valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract Prior customer service experience and great communication skills Able to work with technology and mobile devices Levitt-Safety is committed to the principle of employment equity in the workplace and ensures that our practices of hiring are based on qualifications and ability. We invite all applicants, including persons with disabilities, visible minorities, and Indigenous Peoples to apply for our career opportunities.  We understand that experience comes in many forms and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.
