Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair shop. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle body repairs, a strong understanding of automotive systems, and proficiency with hand and power tools. This role involves restoring vehicles to their original condition through precise repair work, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety standards are met. The Auto Body Technician will work in a private shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and restore vehicle bodies following manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to perform dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
  • Assess damage and develop repair plans for each vehicle
  • Perform sanding, priming, painting, and finishing work to achieve a seamless appearance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate with other technicians and staff to complete repairs within designated timeframes
  • Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during repair processes

Qualifications

  • Proven dealership or automotive repair experience preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and body structures
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair procedures and techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Mechanic experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently
