Join our dynamic team as a Cabinet Painter/Finisher In this vibrant role, you will bring life to cabinetry through your expertise in painting and finishing techniques. You'll work on a variety of projects, ensuring that each piece not only meets but exceeds our clients' expectations. Your attention to detail and passion for craftsmanship will shine as you transform spaces with your artistic touch.
What you'll do
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed
- Apply paint and finishes using various techniques, including airless paint spraying and brush application
- Collaborate with team members to assess project requirements and timelines
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for precise application
- Perform restoration and renovation tasks on cabinetry, ensuring high-quality results
- Conduct regular maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Keep work areas clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency .
- Prepare, sand, clean, and prime cabinet surfaces for proper paint adhesion.
- Mix, match, and apply paints, stains, and finishes using spray, brush, or roll techniques.
- Inspect and repair surfaces to ensure smooth, high-quality finishes.
- Maintain tools, spray equipment, and a clean, safe work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and handle materials according to regulations.
- Stay updated on new products and techniques to ensure consistent, top-quality results.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in Kitchen Cabinetry Industry.
- Strong understanding of color theory and finishing techniques
- Familiarity with construction site practices and safety protocols
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with plastering, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and masonry
- Knowledge of construction estimating and basic math skills for project planning
- Ability to perform maintenance person tasks such as fixture installation and concrete finishing
- Welding experience is a plus
