The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal from various surfaces, driveways, porches, walkways and sidewalks for this winter season. Responsibilities

  • Use and maintain machinery such as snow blowers, shovels, and salt spreaders
  • Clear snow and ice by hand from areas where machinery cannot reach, such as steps and tight walkways
  • Apply salt or other de-icing agents to surfaces to improve traction and melt ice
  • Be available to report for duty on short notice to handle heavy snowfalls or severe weather events
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including safe equipment operation, pre-shift equipment inspections, and wearing required personal protective equipment
  • Report any obstacles, potential hazards, or snow and ice control problems on site

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 1-2 years lawn care with snow removal experience
  • Can legally work in Canada
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
  • Has own insured vehicle (preferable a pickup truck)
  • Have own tools such as shovels, salt bucket and snow blower
