About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Commercial Finance Manager to be a pivotal player in our commercial success. This role is crucial for linking financial performance with strategic business decisions, specifically in customer-facing commercial activities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and possesses a blend of strong financial acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Negotiation Support

  • Financial Modeling: Own the development and maintenance of sophisticated business case modeling and other complex financial models to evaluate commercial opportunities, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives. Create and manage commercial modelling template library to support accelerated pricing requests
  • Customer Quotes & Pricing: Provide comprehensive financial support for customer quotes and ensuring financial viability and adherence to strategic pricing guidelines.
  • Negotiation Support: Support and contribute financial expertise to commercial negotiations and the development of financial strategies for those negotiations.
  • Bookings process: manage CCS bookings process from target setting, performance tracking and achievement validation
  • GRE and credit management: proactively model customer GRE requirements and help create credit management strategies to support customer growth while managing CLS risk

Reporting, Forecasting & Customer Focus

  • Forecasting & Analysis: Drive the understanding of forecasting and budgets by customer, analyzing variances and providing actionable insights to the business on a monthly business.
  • Customer Unit Interaction: Serve as a key financial interface, interacting closely with customer unit teams to align financial strategy with commercial execution.
  • Leadership Support: Provide robust, high-quality analytical and strategic support to the Commercial Finance Directors on various strategic and operational matters.
  • Dynamic Support: Exhibit a strong ability to navigate a very dynamic and fluid environment, managing rapidly changing requests and priorities effectively on a day-to-day basis.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

Financial & Analytical Expertise

  • Deep understanding and proven ability in financial modeling and analytics.
  • Proficiency in financial planning, analysis, and strategic development.
  • Ability to navigate and understand the financial implications of a global business environment.

Commercial & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong understanding of the CCS business and its product offerings.
  • Proven ability to support requirements to lead complex negotiations, providing data-driven financial perspectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both effectively verbally and in writing, capable of synthesizing complex financial data into clear business insights for senior leadership and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to interface with International sites and a track record of building strong working relationships and cooperation across diverse teams and geographies.
Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc)
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 7-8 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, with a significant focus on commercial, business, or FP&A roles.
  • Education: A University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Certification: CPA designation or actively working towards a CPA is preferred.
Salary

The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.

The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

Salary Range: $125,000-$175,000 CAD/year
