While part-time, this role carries real decision-making authority and focuses on:Policy enforcement and boundary settingStaff accountability and supportOperational systems and efficiencyMember experience and issue resolutionensure a consistent, professional experience for members and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & AccountabilityProvide on-site leadership during assigned shiftsEnforce studio policies and procedures consistentlyHandle member issues, complaints, and boundary-setting professionallyServe as the escalation point for front-of-house staffHire, train and develop team members to studio standardsAddress staff performance concerns and provide coaching or corrective action as neededOperations & SystemsIdentify recurring issues and operational inefficienciesImprove and maintain front-of-house systems, workflows, and SOPsEnsure consistent execution of opening/closing procedures and cleanliness standardsSupport scheduling and coverage coordinationKeep studio operations running smoothly and effectively.Sales & Member ExperienceSupport membership sales through tours, consultations, and follow-upsCoach front-of-house staff on service and sales expectationsEnsure a welcoming, organized, and elevated studio environmentCommunication & ReportingMaintain clear, organized communication with ownership & leadership positionsDocument issues, trends, and recommendationsFollow up on staff and member matters during scheduled admin timeSchedule & AvailabilityThis is a part-time role averaging approximately 20–25 hours per week.Expected schedule includes:Weekdays (will include mid-day and evenings)WeekendsThis role may require occasional additional coverage due to staff call-outs or operational needs.QualificationsPrevious leadership experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, or service-based environmentsComfortable enforcing policies and handling client confrontationHighly organized with strong time-management skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationCalm, confident, and solutions-focused under pressureStrong operational mindset with experience improving systems and efficiencyTech-savvy and comfortable using scheduling and sales systemsCompensation & Perks$22-24/hour based on experienceApproximately 20–25 hours per weekFree studio membershipLeadership autonomy with clear authorityOpportunity to grow with the studio over timeLocationOur studio is in Kensington/Hillhurst CalgaryWho This Role Is Perfect ForSomeone with leadership experience who doesn't want full-time hoursA calm, confident decision-maker who can hold boundariesA systems-minded individual who enjoys improving how things runSomeone who thrives in a people-focused, fast-paced environmentAll applicants must complete a short studio questionnaire as part of the application process.
