About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic individual with exceptional customer service and technical skills. The Technician C1 Labourer-Operator is accountable for operating machinery and any labour type functions on a construction project to deliver flawlessly to our customers.
Accountabilities Include
- Operation of mini-excavator, backhoe, skid-steer, and other equipment and machinery
- Interpretation of plans, diagrams and locates
- Accurate and timely completion of work
- Adherence to Health & Safety standards
- Actively communicate with team members and Supervisor on project coordination
- Proficient in filling out documentation (daily work orders and tailboards)
- Report any project delays or issues to Supervisor
- Daily safety inspection of all equipment and tools
- Observe equipment maintenance schedule and advise supervisor when repairs required
Qualifications And Work Experience
- Valid Ontario Class AZ driver's license with a clean driver's record.
- Minimum 5 years' experience operating a Backhoe
- Working knowledge of Book 7
- Interpretation of plans, diagrams and locates an asset.

Physical Demands
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position's work tasks.
These Include But Not Limited To
- Working outdoors and in confined spaces, movement of equipment and/or materials, frequent climbing, pulling of cables and frequent lifting in excess of 15 lbs.
- Work in extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, wind etc.).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers, peers and clients.
