Advanced Information Technology Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, develops and manages all IoT activity related to diagnosing and solving hardware/software issues, equipment failures. Provides expertise and leadership on complex assignments and projects with consideration of resource requirements, risk and complexity. Leads projects in the research and implementation of new IoT related technology to support North American Digital Transformation. Provides direction and acts as lead DENSO support to all stakeholders in a timely and professional manner. Aids in the development of future direction and strategies based on trends in the IoT industry, current DENSO work environment and past issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Supports North America Digital Transformation activities for Internet of Things (IoT) and related software and hardware for installation, implementation and ongoing onsite support for all MES and IoT related items.

· Investigates/research/resolves and monitors issues related to IoT systems and software (e.g. Manufacturing Excellence Systems (MES), DOMO Dashboard, Ignition).

· Organizes and Develops data within the IoT environment to support manufacturing visualization and tracking related to MES and IoT for use within Production and Engineering.

· Researches and investigates information on new (Hardware/Software) technologies prior to the purchase and upgrading/installation. Analyzes information and prepares reports for management. And provides management with cost analysis information for budget purposes. Upon approval, prepares appropriate documentation i.e. Requisition/Purchase Oder/Fixed Assets and creates project plans for implementation of technology /equipment.

· Developments implements and applies policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems to ensure that all systems and processes meet organizational standards and user requirements.

· Completes tasks related to Information Security to ensure security of the organization systems and information assets. Develops and executes high profile plans/programs to enhance/maximize information security and support specified initiatives and performs audits.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to solve problems.

· Experience working with hardware components and software applications.

· In-depth understanding of information systems, policies, procedures and terms

· Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain relationships with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team.

· Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills.

· Excellent attention to detail. Ability to pay careful attention to computers systems and watch for minor changes in performance.

· Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.

· Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to solve problems.

· Experience working in Japanese environment driven by the (Japanese) Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (J-SOX).

Range of Expected Annual Base Salary: $104,000 - $129,000

Range of Expected Annual Salary inclusive of discretionary annual bonus

(subject to successfully meeting all bonus eligibility criteria as determined by DENSO): $109,000 - $139,000
