Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Snow Removal Laborer to assist in maintaining safe and accessible outdoor spaces during winter months. This role involves clearing snow and ice from walkways and other designated areas to ensure safety and accessibility for residents, clients, or employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience with various landscaping and maintenance tools.

Duties

  • Operate snow plowing equipment, including snow blowers, to efficiently clear snow from large areas.
  • Use hand tools such as shovels.
  • Apply salt or other de-icing materials to prevent ice formation.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment like snow blowers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents during snow removal operations.
  • On-call hours according to weather conditions in our area of responsibility.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. for extended periods of time.

Experience

  • Prior experience with snow plowing, landscaping, or grounds maintenance is preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining snow removal equipment and power tools is advantageous.
  • Must have own reliable transportation, SUV, van, or truck preferred.
  • This position offers an opportunity for individuals with outdoor maintenance experience to contribute to community safety while developing their skills in landscape and grounds management.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
