Job Title: Procurement Specialist (Non-IT) – Intermediate
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (Alberta Time)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Start Date: November 2025
Interview Window: November 17–20, 2025
Engagement Model: Per-Worker / Onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Solicitation Document Preparation
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with departmental objectives.
- Research and refine business, operational, and technical requirements.
- Draft and coordinate detailed solicitation documents (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for stakeholder review.
- Identify potential subprojects requiring separate vendor solicitations.
- Interpret RFXs for vendors and prepare responses to formal inquiries.
Evaluation & Debrief
- Develop evaluation methodologies, scoring plans, and award recommendations.
- Review vendor proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Facilitate evaluation committees and coordinate bidder conferences.
- Document evaluation results, prepare reports, and support vendor debrief sessions.
Post-RFX Activities
- Support contract negotiation and finalization with selected vendors.
- Conduct post-procurement reviews and performance evaluations.
- Maintain complete, auditable procurement and contract records.
- Provide process improvement recommendations based on lessons learned.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–5 years of progressive procurement experience (public sector experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of RFX and competitive bidding processes.
- Familiarity with the Government of Alberta's procurement policy framework is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional designation (e.g., SCMA, CPSM, or equivalent) is considered an asset.

- Onsite Role: Must be available to work from the Edmonton location.
- Background Check: A clear criminal record check is required before onboarding.
