Raven Steel specializes in precision metal fabrication, machining, welding and finishing. Prototype to medium and high production volumes. We have been serving the metal fabrication industry for over 30 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator for our Vaughan facility.

The Supply Chain Coordinator works closely with the General Manager and cross-functional teams to manage the day-to-day coordination of customer orders, production releases, and material flow. This role is best suited to a detail-oriented supply chain or administrative professional with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate ERP and inventory records, and support efficient manufacturing operations. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to ensure timely order fulfillment and effective coordination between departments.

Job responsibilities include:

· Receives and inputs all customer orders into ERP system.

· Updates order lines and jobs with revisions sent by customers. Notify production manager of any changes to jobs that are in production.

· Notifies Engineering regarding Custom, Special, and Miscellaneous orders.

· Sends confirmations and/or updates customers on the status of their orders via e-mail.

· Releases and posts jobs to production according to production schedule.

· Provides production with paperwork and engineering drawings for jobs in production.

· Updates and communicates weekly back-order report of materials and/or components that are required for upcoming jobs.

· Communicates with Shipping on all jobs to be posted to completion or to be shipped out for plating.

· Work with Shipping to organize orders and determine based on skid space/skid count and communicate this to the customer

· Prepares and submit purchase orders for MRO supplies by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.

· Assists in maintaining accurate inventory levels of shop supplies.

· Assists in maintaining accurate ERP system by updating item masters, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers.

· Performs month end consumables counts and write-offs with the help of Team leads

· Input new vendors and items in Syteline

· Adheres to the overall goals of the company as set by management.

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Completed post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Operations or Supply Chain.

· Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook. Syteline experience is an asset.

· 2-4 years administrative experience.

· Mathematical and analytical skills.

· Ability to read blue prints an asset.

· Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.

  • Ability to work in a cross functional team environment with minimum supervision.

· Excellent ability to maintain internal relationships.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Working Conditions

  • Metal fabrication manufacturing environment.
  • Primarily office – based role (approximately 70%) with up to 30% time spent on the shop floor coordinating production and shipping.
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, and other manufacturing-related conditions.
  • May be required to lift materials or supplies up to 45lbs.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000, depending on relevant experience
