Position Overview

We're looking for a reliable, professional, and safety-focused red seal Journeyperson Electrician who genuinely wants to help people. In this role, you'll work under the leadership of a Project Manager to install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. You'll be expected to take initiative on-site, maintain high standards of workmanship, and ensure every customer's experience reflects our commitment to quality and care.

This position requires someone comfortable working at heights year-round, including in winter and challenging outdoor conditions. The right candidate will take pride in doing quality work and will help our clients feel confident in their investment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation of solar PV systems, including mounting panels, wiring, and inverter setup.
  • Work safely and confidently on roofs in all seasons.
  • Diagnose and repair solar system issues with precision and professionalism.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with the office team to coordinate schedules, materials, and project updates.
  • Keep detailed records, photos, and notes of work performed and upload on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Certified Journeyperson Electrician
  • Previous residential solar installation experience
  • Proven ability to work at heights and in outdoor winter conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities between both the field team and office
  • A genuine desire to help people and take pride in your craftsmanship
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ownership of standard electrical hand and power tools
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform outdoor labor safely

  • Work primarily in the Calgary area, with occasional short-term travel (accommodations provided)
