Our client, successful fabrication company is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager for their Plant in the Kitchener area.

The Engineering Manager oversees the engineering and quality teams, guiding them in the product design, and enhancement of manufacturing processes and systems. This role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and effectively managing people, resources and budgets.
Required Skills & Expertise:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
- 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, demonstrating strong leadership and process improvement skills within a custom metal equipment fabrication environment.
- 5-7 years of experience leading a team of Manufacturing Engineers
- Experience Managing performance, conduct evaluations, and providing training opportunities.
- In-depth knowledge of Lean manufacturing processes
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Guide, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Oversee performance management, conduct evaluations, and provide training opportunities. Ensure the team adheres to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows.
- Identify and implement automation and other process improvements to reduce production costs, improve cycle times, and enhance product quality.
