Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Equiton Inc. Full time

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to play a key role in the day-to-day upkeep and operations of this residential property. You'll be hands-on in ensuring the building is safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents, tackling repairs, preventative maintenance, and problem-solving as issues arise. This role offers long-term stability, autonomy in how you manage your work, and the opportunity to take real pride and ownership in a community you help keep running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs, including appliance repair, painting, plastering, and light plumbing and electrical work
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of common areas and prepare vacant suites for new residents (turnovers, touch-ups, repairs)
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests and concerns
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property, including building systems and grounds, identifying issues before they escalate
  • Complete general repairs related to multi-family residential maintenance
  • Coordinate and oversee external contractors when specialized repairs are required
  • Ensure life safety systems, fire regulations, and building standards are consistently met
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and contribute to a positive, well-maintained community environment
  • Participate in evening and weekend on-call rotation, as required

What You Bring:

  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and a practical hands-on / do-it-yourself mindset
  • Proven experience in facility, commercial, or multi-family residential maintenance
  • Ability to complete appliance repair, painting, plastering, and light plumbing and electrical work
  • Ownership of and proficiency with your own maintenance tools required to perform the role effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-kept environment
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills when working with residents and vendors
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize maintenance requests efficiently
  • Comfort with basic technology (email, text, MS Office; Yardi experience is an asset)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Flexibility to respond to after-hours or emergency maintenance calls, as required
  • Credit and Criminal background check required.
