We are hiring for a Senior Accountant – Part-Time position
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for delivering accurate, consolidated financial statements, forecasts and analysis. The Senior Accountant will also be directly responsible for a full range of operational, financial and management accounting, reporting and analysis, as well as strengthening internal control policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all relations with the bank including debt level monitoring and reporting and compliance with debt level covenants.
- Inventory and fixed asset management and control.
- Assist departmental managers and supervisors in departmental budget control, cost/benefit analysis, and provide financial information and recommendations.
- Participate and support operations through month end inventory counts including purchase reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly financial divisional and consolidated financial reports.
- Prepare and consolidate operations' monthly forecasts, quarterly forecasts and annual plans.
- Preparation of month end and year end working paper files, reconciliation and journal entries.
- Provide analytical support for operational costs and margin improvement projects.
- Prepare audit materials and interact with external auditors.
- Assist with development and implementation of new accounting processes and procedures including internal controls, documentation of new/revised processes and roll-out to the accounting department.
- Follow established policies and procedures and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Be the lead on various special projects from creation to implementation, such as software solutions and the development of new processes.
- Communicate financial information and reports.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Provide support and coverage of the Accounting Office Manager when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a CPA designation
- 3 plus years of financial accounting experience in a manufacturing/construction environment
- Advanced level of MS Office skills with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to present and articulate financial information
- Experience using Sage 300 and Quick Books is preferred
Compensation and Benefits: Salary to be determined based on experience.
Job Type: Part-time, permanent- 3 days per week
