About the Role

We are hiring a part time Bookkeeper to handle day to day bookkeeping and monthly accounting tasks for our real estate brokerage.

This role uses Lone Wolf as our bookkeeping and real estate trust accounting software. Previous experience with Lone Wolf or working in a real estate office is not required.

We will provide structured, hands on training, including direct training from our outgoing bookkeeper, access to recorded training videos, and clear written procedures.

This is an in office role based in Port Alberni.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily and weekly bookkeeping entries
  • Monthly bank and account reconciliations
  • Processing real estate commissions using documented workflows
  • Supporting trust accounting processes under established procedures
  • Preparing information for GST, payroll, and remittances
  • Maintaining organized financial records and task checklists
  • Working with leadership and external accountants as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bookkeeping experience with hands on account reconciliations
  • Comfortable owning a monthly close process
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to follow written procedures and checklists
  • Confident learning new software and workflows
  • High integrity, reliability, and accountability

Nice to Have

  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar
  • Experience in a regulated industry
  • Familiarity with Lone Wolf or real estate bookkeeping
