We are recruiting for a Maintenance Team member in Saint John.  This position will be responsible for carrying out facilities maintenance duties that include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond to routine and on-demand service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment.
  • Ensure work completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements.
  • Participate in and assist with facility-related projects.
  • Oversee Contractor activities.
  • Building System start-up (including HVAC systems, boilers, chillers).
  • General maintenance and repairs 
  • Preventative maintenance activities on building systems (including building inspections, belts, filters,). 
  • Navigate HVAC building controls (Delta Controls and Automated Logic).
  • Perform regular facility mechanical and electrical systems monitoring and inspection including preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Snow removal when required.

Knowledge and Experience: Experience in facilities maintenance; ability to manage contractors; working knowledge of Building Systems coupled with hands-on experience; positive attitude with a focus on customer service; and a valid driver's license.

Day shift hours will vary, and this position will be required to be on call, on a rotating basis.

  • 3 to 5 years' experience in facility management or building maintenance. 
  • High school diploma plus trades training, certification, or licensing.
  • Knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards considered an asset.
  • Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and good work ethic.
  • Interact well with other team members.
  • Mechanically inclined and be adept at equipment repair and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable with heights and ladder work.
  • Health and safety focus.
