Freight Broker

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will facilitate the transportation of freight by connecting shippers with carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of supply chain operations, and the ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently. The Freight Broker will play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction and optimizing freight solutions within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Source and onboard new shippers across the U.S. and Canada
• Identify reliable carriers and build strong transportation partnerships
• Negotiate competitive rates with both shippers and carriers
• Manage the full freight cycle – from quoting to final delivery
• Track loads and manage delivery schedules
• Maintain strong relationships with all parties throughout the process
• Resolve issues related to transportation, customer concerns, delays

Skills

• Experienced in Freight Brokerage (min. 2 years of experience)
• Strong network of shippers (book of business)
• Proficient with load boards and transportation management systems
• Self-motivated, organized, and driven to close deals
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
