Web Content Administator – INTERNSHIP (6 months)

Crown Wallpaper & Fabrics seeking a Web Content Coordinator to be part of the Marketing department. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Showrooms, the Web Content Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and implementing updates to the Company web content and processes, as well as the daily management of requests received through website. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing web standards for the procurement of new content from vendors and suppliers.
  • Acquire raw images and data from vendors based on line plan deadlines.
  • Administer website updates; adding, moving, or deleting data through the web Content Management System (CMS) to update the appropriate pages or sections of the websites.
  • Proof read, format and edit content.
  • Publish content updates across various social media channels according to strategic guidelines and respecting established social media policies.
  • Tracking web traffic using Google Analytics and preparing reports for management.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate who :

  • Ability to follow timelines and instructions;
  • Knowledge of operating systems, computer and graphic design applications; Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Experience in computer technology and web site management;
  • Has a strong understanding of the IT industry and social media platforms, and is aware of emerging technologies which would be a plus point for our company.
  • Ability to use initiative and sound independent judgement within established guidelines;
  • Self--motivated professional who takes ownership of his/her work, and works well in a team environment.
  • Outstanding organization skills and ability to meet deadlines is mandatory. As well, a high level of responsiveness, problem solving, and verbal and written communication are required.

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. The selected candidate will be compensated for travel expenses.  The chosen candidate will work between 10-20 hours a week.

Progression: There may also be an opportunity to grow within the company, at which time we may employ the candidate to become a full time consultant.
