Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will monitor property, prevent theft, and respond promptly to incidents. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol designated areas regularly to deter unauthorized access and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity or security breaches
  • Conduct security checks on personnel and visitors, verifying identification when necessary
  • Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents
  • Document incidents accurately in reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when required
  • Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and preventing theft or vandalism
  • Maintain a visible presence to promote a safe environment for all occupants

Skills

  • Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies or high-pressure situations
  • Basic understanding of law enforcement procedures and loss prevention techniques
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
  • Physical stamina to patrol large areas and stand for extended periods
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
