Level 3 Technician
who thrives on solving complex problems, leading escalations, and mentoring others.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2016–2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain trusts.
- Configure and maintain networking infrastructure — firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, switches (SonicWall, Unifi, Dell, etc.).
- Oversee Hyper-V, Azure AD, and hybrid environments (VMs, replication, failover).
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity tools (EDR, ThreatLocker, Bitdefender, etc.).
- Handle escalations from Tier 1/2 technicians and provide root-cause analysis.
- Participate in infrastructure projects — migrations, deployments, and audits.
- Document procedures, maintain asset accuracy in PSA (HaloPSA), and enforce security policies.
Required Skills & Certifications
- 5+ years of professional IT experience with a focus on servers and networking.
- Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching fundamentals.
- Expertise with Microsoft 365 and Entra administration.
- Familiar with NIST/CIS security controls and incident response.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications (one or more):
- Microsoft Certified: MS-102, SC-900, MS-900
- CompTIA Security+ or ISC2
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP
- VMware or Hyper-V certification
- Fortinet NSE 4+ or SonicWall CSSA
