Position: Temporary Full-Time Security Guard - City of Kingston - APAC

Site: City of Kingston APAC Bagot St.

Hours: Monday - Friday 06:00-14:00
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Payrate: $25.23/hourly

End Date: | December 18, 2025

Site Description:
Artillery Park Aquatic Centre has a 25-metre, six lane lap pool, a 15-metre leisure pool, a fitness centre with a gymnasium and cardio/weight equipment, and all your favourite fitness programs.

Job Responsibilities:  

Proactive & reactive security patrolsMajority of shift will be spent conducting exterior patrolsResponse to incidentsEnforce new rulesReport writing and note takingDaily shift reportsAccess ControlInvestigate routine incidentsAdditional Duties as Assigned

Job Requirements:

Valid Security License for OntarioValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)Able to stand for up to 6-8 hours per shiftAble to complete extensive patrolling of siteEnforce Rules on siteEnglish communication (oral and written) requiredMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availabilityLegally authorized to work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C

Valid Ontario Security License
