Job DescriptionThis role is based in our Toronto office.
Join our passionate creative team and help shape the visual identity of North America's most exciting live events. As a Graphic Designer, you'll create memorable experiences that fans see, share, and remember across FAN EXPO, VidCon, Interior Design Show, Artist Project, One of a Kind Spring & Christmas Shows, and Art Toronto.
What You'll Do
Creative Design and Branding
- Develop impactful, dynamic deliverables that align with established branding standards
- Collaborate with creative services and cross-functional teams to generate breakthrough concepts that exceed creative brief requirements
- Design motion graphics for digital initiatives, including video content, ensuring high-quality execution
- Create advertisements, event branding, newsletters, social media graphics, sales kits, and web design
Technical Excellence
- Utilize advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)
- Prepare files for CMYK output and manage print production processes with precision
- Ensure all creative assets are optimized for both print and digital platforms
Project Leadership
- Facilitate creative development of new projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery
- Develop and manage project schedules under strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Provide quality assurance for all creative deliverables, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Strategic Partnership
- Consult with senior stakeholders to provide expert guidance on design, communications, and digital solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to ensure creative solutions align with business objectives
Production Management
- Handle production responsibilities, including coordination with external vendors
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee production quality for outsourced projects
Innovation and Growth
- Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices
- Proactively recommend innovative approaches to enhance design and communication strategies
- Take ownership of developing this role beyond assigned projects
What You Bring
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional graphic design experience
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)
- Excellent photo editing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience translating complex concepts into effective marketing pieces
Education and Experience
- BA or BS degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, or Communication Arts
- Proven experience in a related graphic design position
Personal Qualities
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Outstanding planning, multi-tasking, and organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Highly proactive with eagerness to understand art, craft, design, pop culture industry, and fan communities
- Passionate about creating work that resonates with diverse audiences
