What you'll be doing

As the Manager of Day to Day Banking, Client Engagement, you'll be accountable for developing tactical plans of a product or service for management approval, and to assume responsibility for execution of the approved plans. The role applies advanced concepts to develop, recommend and implement annual business plans, manage day-to-day product activities, support internal and external partner and stakeholder management, and support the portfolio business growth and performance against engagement and partner KPIs. The Manager uses independent judgement to determine methods and approaches to work, collaborating with stakeholders to engage resources and support initiatives. In addition, the role supports engagement development activities including initial concept development, market assessment, business case development and implementation to support CIBC's enhanced client experience objectives.

How you'll succeed

  • Product portfolio business growth – Deliver key initiatives that deliver against the strategy and drive year-over-year growth in product portfolio and engagement business key performance indicators.
  • Product strategic planning – Support and help inform the development of a year-over-year growth strategy for your product portfolio by leading analysis, recommendations, and any strategic planning deliverables as required.
  • Champion, lead, and deliver key initiatives – Execute excellence will be the pillar of what you deliver. You will lead the execution of campaigns, business cases, and initiatives that drive impact on business performance, on time, and in budget. You will deliver these initiatives by leading and partnering with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver key initiatives that drive your performance on key business KPIs, on time, and budget. Through post-campaign analysis, you will demonstrate the impact of initiatives on the business, and draw key insights and conclusions to inform go-forward learnings.
  • Manage portfolio governance - Manage all day-to-day activities associated with ongoing day-to-day/month-to-month portfolio and business governance. This includes portfolio budget and LE management, ensuring audit compliance for initiative execution and record keeping. You will play a key role in the analysis and delivery of monthly business performance reviews.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders –Build collaborative partnerships and strong relationships with key stakeholders will be a key part of your success. You will collaborate with multiple partners from across the enterprise to successfully deliver product initiatives with execution excellence that drive business results and enhance overall client experience.
  • Drive change – Drive key changes on the engagement portfolio. You will identify opportunities for change in both what we do and how we deliver, that will drive team and business performance. You will successfully champion for your ideas, and drive implementation of recommended changes in partnership with others.
