Position Summary

Prism Industrial Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) to support industrial installation, maintenance, and fabrication work across a variety of client sites. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical issues in industrial equipment and machinery
  • Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs, including lubrication, cleaning, alignment, and component replacement
  • Install, assemble, and maintain industrial equipment, including conveyors, platforms, and associated systems
  • Fabricate, fit, and weld components as required to support installations and repairs
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Complete accurate layout and field measurements to support installations and fabrication
  • Install structural components, supports, and platforms in accordance with drawings and site requirements
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
  • Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts in a safe and responsible manner
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and housekeeping on all job sites
  • Provide professional, solutions-oriented service to internal teams and client representatives

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Millwright / Industrial Mechanic in industrial or construction environments
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, including:
  • Industrial machinery and rotating equipment
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Basic low-voltage electrical systems
  • HVAC or process-related mechanical systems (asset)
  • Proven experience with fabrication and welding (carbon steel and stainless steel preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience installing conveyors, platforms, and industrial equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Forklift experience (certification considered an asset)
  • Layout and field measurement experience
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (written and verbal)

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work safely in industrial environments and follow all Prism and site-specific safety policies
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and work variable hours as required by project schedules
