Position Summary
Prism Industrial Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) to support industrial installation, maintenance, and fabrication work across a variety of client sites. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical issues in industrial equipment and machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs, including lubrication, cleaning, alignment, and component replacement
- Install, assemble, and maintain industrial equipment, including conveyors, platforms, and associated systems
- Fabricate, fit, and weld components as required to support installations and repairs
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Complete accurate layout and field measurements to support installations and fabrication
- Install structural components, supports, and platforms in accordance with drawings and site requirements
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts in a safe and responsible manner
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and housekeeping on all job sites
- Provide professional, solutions-oriented service to internal teams and client representatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Millwright / Industrial Mechanic in industrial or construction environments
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, including:
- Industrial machinery and rotating equipment
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Basic low-voltage electrical systems
- HVAC or process-related mechanical systems (asset)
- Proven experience with fabrication and welding (carbon steel and stainless steel preferred)
- Demonstrated experience installing conveyors, platforms, and industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Forklift experience (certification considered an asset)
- Layout and field measurement experience
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (written and verbal)
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work safely in industrial environments and follow all Prism and site-specific safety policies
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces
- Willingness to travel to client sites and work variable hours as required by project schedules

Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $40.00-$47.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
