Roofer Team Lead
who can run a crew, keep jobs moving, and hold the bar on workmanship and safety.
What You'll Do
- Lead and organize a roofing crew on shingle installs, repairs, and re-roofs
- Ensure quality installation: underlay, flashing, vents, drip edge, valleys, final details
- Manage daily workflow: materials, staging, tear-off, install sequence, clean-up
- Enforce safety: harness use, fall protection, job-site hazard awareness
- Communicate with office/production on progress, issues, and material needs
- Train and coach newer crew members to YYC Solar & Roof standards
- Keep job sites clean, professional, and customer-friendly at all times
What We're Looking For
- Strong roofing experience + leadership
(you can run a job without babysitting) - Confident on steep slopes and complex roofs
- High standards for detail work (flashing, penetrations, valleys, tie-ins)
- Calm, professional communication with crew and homeowners
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable—your crew follows your lead
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work long days when needed
- Driver's license + reliable transportation (preferred)
Nice-to-Haves
- Fall Protection / WHMIS / First Aid
- Valid WCB/insurance experience (if you operate as a sub-crew)
- Experience coordinating multiple jobs or mentoring apprentices
