Job Description: The Social Worker will be a member of the Interprofessional Practice team of Social Workers providing assessment, counselling and support to children and families within Saskatchewan Health Authority. The Social Worker in this position will work primarily with the Pediatric (outpatient) program providing services to children dealing with the complexities of chronic conditions. The incumbent will share social work responsibilities in the department including coverage for holidays and sick leave. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience

  • Preference will be given to candidates with medical social work experience

Education

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge in the SHA, community resources and applicable programming
