Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to oversee and coordinate all tax-related activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills, extensive knowledge of accounting and financial services, and proficiency with various accounting software. This role involves managing tax compliance, planning, and reporting processes to ensure adherence to regulatory standards while optimizing financial efficiency. The Tax Manager will lead and review work for the team responsible for pre & post reviews, corporate and personal tax returns.

Duties

  • Lead the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns with accuracy and timeliness
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify tax implications and opportunities for savings
  • Oversee auditing processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and other tools
  • Support owner and clients in effective tax strategies aligned with client needs
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Provide guidance on audit preparations and liaise with external auditors when necessary

Requirements

  • Proven experience in tax management within a public accounting environment
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and related platforms
  • Excellent analysis skills for interpreting complex financial data and identifying key insights
  • Knowledge of auditing procedures, account reconciliation, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, and budgeting processes
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Relevant certifications or degrees in Accounting, Finance, or related fields are preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and continuously improve processes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
