Location: Stony Plain, Alberta (In Office)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Our client is a growing, client-focused insurance brokerage seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join their in-office team. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven insurance professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional service, building long-term client relationships, and acting as a trusted advisor for personal insurance needs.
The successful candidate will manage an established portfolio of personal lines clients and play a key role in renewals, coverage reviews, policy servicing, and client retention.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Service & Retention
- Manage a portfolio of personal lines clients, providing high-quality day-to-day service
- Conduct proactive renewal reviews and recommend appropriate coverage enhancements
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing clear guidance on policy changes, coverage options, and claims processes
- Build long-term client relationships with a customer-first mindset
Sales & Growth (Existing Accounts)
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts
- Support brokerage retention and growth targets through proactive client engagement
Policy Administration & Compliance
- Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and new applications accurately and efficiently
- Ensure client files are compliant with brokerage procedures and industry standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely follow-up
Collaboration & Market Engagement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurer products, underwriting guidelines, and market trends
- Work closely with insurance carrier partners to secure competitive solutions for clients
- Support team members during peak workload periods
- Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Personal Lines Insurance Account Management
- Level 1 General Insurance License (Alberta) required (Level 2 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of personal lines products (home, auto, condo, tenant, recreational, etc.)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with broker management systems (EPIC is an asset)
- Completion of or progress toward CAIB, CIP, CRM, or similar designations is preferred
