Toronto, Ontario, Canada RAVENSTONE CAPITAL MANAGEMENT INC. Full time $80,000 - $150,000 per year

Overview:

Ravenstone Capital Management (

) is a privately owned boutique investment management and advisory firm serving high-net-worth families.
Our primary objective is to place clients and their success over everything else.

Our firm was created with the goal of building a business that offered a level of service commensurate with our own expectations, as if we were the "client". We wanted to ensure that the Ravenstone client experience was exactly what we would expect from our own advisors. Our clients, at a minimum, should expect trustworthy, thoughtful and independent advice. This realization came to be, in large part, because of our prior business experience. Our purpose became crystal clear, we wanted to create the "boutique advantage" which was not something that could exist in the large, scale-obsessed institutional world.

The role of Director, Client Relations is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial firm with a long-term track record of success. A successful candidate can look forward to working very closely with Ravenstone's partners, harnessing an excellent opportunity to become a key contributor to Ravenstone's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated, results-driven business development professional to focus on client acquisition by identifying new sales and business development opportunities. The goal is to expand our client base of high-net-worth families and enhance the firm's presence in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for clients and is comfortable prospecting, networking, and converting opportunities into lasting client relationships. As Ravenstone continues to integrate financial planning, tax and estate planning, a high level of comfort with these value-added services will be important but not required.

Requirements (Qualifications, Experience & Skills)

  • University Degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) designation at a minimum or otherwise registerable as a Dealing Representative for an Exempt Market Dealer (EMD)
  • The Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or similar credentials is an asset.
  • At least 3 years experience in a client-facing role. Training and support from the management team will be provided.
  • Able to attract a significant amount of new AUM annually from a diverse group of high-net-worth clients (must have an established network)
  • Driven by a passion for building and maintaining long-term client relationships
  • Impeccable reputation for being trustworthy and reliable
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, and professionalism
  • Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships with referral sources
  • Committed to providing high-quality, personalized service to clients
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and industry regulations
  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive base salary with bonus (no ceiling)
  • Healthcare benefits
  • An opportunity to build your own clients base instead of being restricted by the bureaucracy of large financial institutions.
  • An entrepreneurial culture with the freedom and autonomy to work independently while operating within a trusted, established brand
  • A unique opportunity to work with experienced investment and tax planning professionals dedicated to helping you grow and succeed
