We have multiple Location available all across Ontario: (GTA, Windsor, London, KWC, Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Oakville, Grimsby and Niagara Region.)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Crane Repair Technician to join our team. As a Crane Repair Technician, you'll be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on cranes and other material handling equipment.

Inspection & Diagnostics

  • · Perform regular inspections of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment.
  • · Identify mechanical, structural, and electrical issues.
  • · Use diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, load testers).
  • · Perform preventive maintenance (lubrication, adjustments, replacements).
  • · Inspect hoists, cranes, systems, chain falls, and pullers.
  • · Repair or replace worn or damaged parts (motors, brakes, gearboxes, wiring, control systems).
  • · Test equipment after maintenance to ensure proper operation.
  • · Assemble and install overhead crane systems.
  • · Set up electrical wiring and mechanical components.
  • · Perform system testing and calibration.
  • · Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
  • · Ensure compliance with CSA standards (e.g., CSA B167), OHSA, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • · Tag out unsafe equipment and document non-compliance.

Safety & Workplace Practices

  • · Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
  • · Use PPE and adhere to site safety protocols.
  • · Report hazards and unsafe conditions.

Client Communication

  • · Provide service reports and explain findings to clients.
  • · Recommend corrective actions or upgrades when needed.

Basic Skills Required

  • · Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • · Reading blueprints and schematics.
  • · Use of hand tools and testing instruments.
  • · Min hours experience
  • · Welding experience an asset
