About the Role

A growing company in the industrial automation sector is looking for a
Sales Engineer
to develop and manage a client portfolio across the Maritimes.

In this role, you'll identify new business opportunities, build relationships with industrial clients, and offer high-performance technical solutions related to
servo motors, connectors, and hydraulic systems
. You'll work closely with internal engineering teams and provide exceptional service to ensure long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Prospect and develop new industrial clients in the
    manufacturing, automation, and heavy equipment
    sectors.
  • Promote advanced technical solutions and identify emerging market opportunities.

Account Management

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
  • Provide ongoing support and ensure follow-ups that meet technical and commercial expectations.

Technical and Commercial Expertise

  • Assess client needs and propose tailored solutions with internal technical teams.
  • Prepare proposals and estimates for products and systems.
  • Offer technical guidance on installation and optimization of servo and hydraulic systems.

Project and Market Follow-Up

  • Oversee orders, deliveries, and timelines to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, technological innovations, and competitive activities.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management.

Representation and Collaboration

  • Represent the company at
    industry events and trade shows
    in the region.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Qualifications

Core Competencies

  • Excellent communication in
    French
    (spoken and written).
  • Functional proficiency in
    English
    to serve Maritime clients and international partners.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of
    servo motors, connectors, and hydraulic systems
    (pumps, cylinders, manifolds).
  • Experience in
    industrial automation, heavy machinery
    , or
    manufacturing
    .
  • Proficiency with
    MS Office
    and ideally
    CRM tools
    .
  • Valid
    driver's license
    and access to a vehicle for travel across the Maritimes.

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in
    mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
    (or equivalent).
  • 3–5 years
    of experience in
    technical sales
    , ideally within servo or hydraulic systems.
  • Training in technical sales is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Location:
    Greater Halifax Region (with regular travel across the Maritimes).
  • Work Mode:
    Primarily
    remote
    , with client visits and regional travel.
  • Schedule:
    Full-time, permanent position.
  • Compensation:
